What I Do
Hossam El-Kharbotly is an AI Engineer and Machine Learning specialist with experience building production-grade AI systems at the scale of global engineering organizations. He conducts intensive research across models, frameworks, and architectures before committing to production, ensuring every design decision is backed by evidence rather than assumptions.
- • Build enterprise AI systems including organization-wide knowledge bases with on-premise LLMs (Qwen, Gemma via vLLM), Knowledge Graphs, and multi-source RAG pipelines ingesting from SharePoint, databases, and document archives
- • Develop complex multi-agent systems with 10+ node LangGraph architectures, text-to-SQL pipelines, BoQ analysis, and API integrations for cost engineering and domain-specific intelligence
- • Conduct rigorous model research across LLM fine-tuning, VLM evaluation for document parsing, vector database benchmarking (Weaviate, Qdrant), and RAG framework selection (LangChain, LlamaIndex, custom)
- • Deploy high-accuracy models for computer vision and NLP with explainable AI, using PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Docker
- • Implement cloud-native and on-premise solutions on Azure and internal infrastructure with FastAPI backends and comprehensive monitoring
